David and Aaron Cabello are twin brothers from Philadelphia, who pursued to supply a space by creating an app that helps showcase other Black-owned businesses’ products to consumers. It’s called Black and Mobile and launched last August via an app the duo developed.

Of the two, David initiated learning entrepreneurship from an incredibly early age while educating himself how to construct websites and apps. In his early twenties, he began offering his services through apps he designed and put up over a thousand dollars in less than forty-eight hours through this endeavor. It would be the beginning stages of what would eventually become his path to forming the Black and Mobile experience. After working as a driver for food service apps such as Postmates and Caviar in January 2017, David saw how profitable food service apps truly were and thought about the possibilities that could come with starting one of his own. After research, he saw that no Black-owned delivery apps existed and wanted to fill that niche… and he did!!

While being sidelined from his delivery job for several weeks, David would spend his time creating what would become Black and Mobile, that has become a personal achievement for both brothers. Employing majority Black and Brown individuals with minor criminal offenses, the two are not about just providing jobs but a second chance as they implemented that stipulation on the count of their father who experienced similar scenarios throughout their childhood and saw fit that if they can assist someone whether it be a college student or single mother create another stream of income they have efficiently carried out their mission as growing pillars in their communities and in business.

From their grit and efforts, The Cabello Twins would find themselves featured in JAY-Z and Pharrell’s Entrepreneur music video and numerous outlets from INC to Black Enterprise that would go on to share their story. They would go on to celebrate their company’s first anniversary on February 21st earlier this year.

With a recent appearance on Steve Harvey’s “Steve on Watch,” an exclusive media platform streaming on Facebook, The Cabello Twins would express their trials and tribulations with Harvey. Not knowing that a special guest was waiting to be unveil, the 62-year old comedian and host would introduce millionaire entrepreneur, Shark Tank’s Daymond John who’s known for creating successful businesses including his streetwear line, FUBU.

John would go on to lend some helpful tips of advice to the now 25 year old entrepreneurs Aaron and David to continue to encourage them on their journey to empower and employee others.

“I think they’ve expressed what they’re doing and their offering and their projections for what they want to do in an articulate way.”

With hearing their business plan and flow of sales, John added:

“A lot of corporations have grants, especially for minority-owned businesses, and this is free money that they want to give. They just want to know that the money is being used in the right way.”

However, before exiting the interview, John wouldn’t be the businessman that he has grown to be without offering his knowledge for the two to learn from and share.

“I want to gift you both my digital course — it’s called Daymond on Demand — it helps you start, scale, and grow your business.”
